Program Description
The Master of Science in Integrated Pharmaceutical Sciences program prepares students desiring expertise in drug discovery, development, and utilization. This program serves as a logical next step for students with bachelor degrees in science who may be seeking employment in the pharmaceutical industry, government, and regulatory sectors; further graduate education such as a Ph.D. in pharmaceutical sciences, medicinal chemistry, clinical pharmacy; or an advanced degree in health sciences such as medicine, dentistry, public health, or pharmacy.

Students will complete a capstone project under the guidance of a College of Pharmacy faculty member. The capstone project will be completed in Spring/Summer semesters for 8 credits over 14 weeks, requiring a full-time commitment. The capstone project should be a research project or literature synthesis. Students will give a capstone presentation and submit a written capstone report.

Admission is a process shared by the Rackham Graduate School and the graduate program. To be considered for graduate admission, applicants must meet the requirements of the Rackham Graduate School and of the graduate program.
Applicants complete a bachelor’s degree from a U.S. college or university accredited by a regional accrediting association; or complete an international degree that is equivalent to a U.S. bachelor’s degree from a college or university recognized and approved by the Ministry of Education or Commission responsible for higher education in the country where the degree is earned. Applicants whose native language is not English must demonstrate English proficiency. Applicants are required to provide an official test score report. Photocopies and/or faxes of English proficiency scores will not be accepted.
Individuals applying for a duplicate degree are not eligible for enrollment.
